AMODA, a property and construction technology startup based in Indonesia, has announced the successful closing of a seed funding round, co-led by East Ventures and Living Lab Ventures.
This round of investment marks a significant step forward for AMODA, following its pre-seed funding in 2022, and is expected to further bolster its product, technology, and operational capabilities.
“We’re excited to share this remarkable milestone in AMODA’s journey. With the support of our esteemed investors, this seed funding round will accelerate our efforts to revolutionize Indonesia’s property and construction sector. We remain committed to creating innovative, adaptable, and environmentally friendly spaces that empower both businesses and individuals,” stated Robin Yovianto, Co-Founder and CEO of AMODA.
Founded by Robin Yovianto and Agusti Salman Farizi, AMODA has set out to transform the property and construction industry in Indonesia, addressing the conventional methods that have led to low productivity rates and a lack of transparency. These challenges have resulted in inefficiencies, resource wastage, and significant carbon footprints.
AMODA’s innovative approach involves incorporating digital technology to streamline the construction process, making it hassle-free, cost-effective, and time-efficient. The company offers tailored building solutions for individuals and businesses across Indonesia, ranging from small and medium-sized enterprises to high-growth and large enterprises.
To ensure a transparent and trackable experience, AMODA provides a dashboard that offers comprehensive information about pricing, construction progress, and leasing. The company also commits to delivering reliable results on time, subjecting all products and properties to multi-layer inspections.
AMODA’s buildings prioritize efficiency and adaptability, allowing easy relocation and expansion to meet specific needs. This flexibility has greatly benefited clients, reducing risk by granting them the freedom to experiment and change locations during the initial phases of their business ventures.
Furthermore, AMODA’s eco-conscious approach, which emphasizes efficient material usage, contributes to lower carbon emissions and a more environmentally friendly construction process.
Since its inception in October 2021, AMODA has achieved impressive growth, recording at least 4x revenue growth year over year. The company now boasts a portfolio of over 200 construction assets, collaborates with over 50 contractor partners nationwide, and engages with more than 30 landowners.
AMODA has forged lasting partnerships with over 60 businesses and private users, addressing their construction challenges and providing a streamlined and worry-free construction experience.
Melisa Irene, Partner at East Ventures, expressed confidence in AMODA’s vision, stating, “We have witnessed AMODA’s remarkable growth, and we are confident that their innovative solutions will enhance the construction space’s efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability.”
Bayu Seto, Partner at Living Lab Ventures, emphasized the transformative potential of AMODA, saying, “Investing in AMODA is a strategic move driven by its immense market potential and robust partnerships that synergize seamlessly with our company’s vision.”
Currently headquartered in Jakarta and Bandung with a team of 30 members, AMODA has ambitious plans for the future. By Q3 2024, the company aims to collaborate with more than 30 manufacturing partners, 100 SME suppliers/distributors, and 150 contractor partners, further streamlining construction processes and promoting sustainability in the industry.
